Test Drive/Pilot: Özgür Sunay – Istanbul
Right after the Tesla Model Y standard test drive, we did a test drive of the Model Y Performance model.
The Tesla Model Y has a Long-Range Dual engine with Performance and can reach a speed of 0 to 100 km in 3.7 seconds.
The Model Y Performance model, which has the same characteristics as the standard Model Y, is a Dual-Engine Four-Wheel drive and may also differ in the exterior design of the vehicle.
I have tested the Model Y performance vehicle in all kinds of road conditions in Turkey and have reached its limits to the highest level.

The Tesla Model Y Performance vehicle has differences compared to the regular Model Y, especially in the exterior design and engines. This is very reflected in the use.
It has the feature of being the heaviest Model Y with a weight of 1.995 kg.
The Dual-Engine All-Wheel Drive Tesla Model Y Performance vehicle is only 157 mm above the ground, which makes it lower and closer to the asphalt than other Tesla models.
The standard Tesla Model Y has larger 21″ wheels, Decoupled from the exterior design among the differences.
At the same time, the Distance Decoupled Between the Wheels – the Front and Rear length 1,646 mm this makes it even longer by a small margin.
In addition, the Model Y performance in October has a range of 514 km, with a slight difference.
But the vehicle, which is huge in size and weight, takes flight in 3.7 seconds.
The Tesla Roadster model, on the other hand, can reach a speed of 0-100km in 1 second. This means that soon it will be impossible to keep these vehicles on the ground.
When we look at the vehicle details of the Model Y Performance model, we see that a Carbon Fiber Windbreaker has been added to the rear trunk.
Also included are Performance Upgrades, Performance Pedals, Performance Brakes.
The Model Y Performance model reaches a top speed of 250 km / h last.
During my test drive in Istanbul, I drove the Model Y Perfomans model on various difficult roads, pushing the boundaries in all conditions.
Compared to the Model Y, which has the standard features of the car, it gave a much different driving feeling in an energetic and more enthusiastic way.
At the same time, the handling and brakes were working very well. It was accelerating instantly and stopping instantly.
When we compared both Model Y vehicles, I was much more satisfied with the performance model in every sense.
The vehicle provided exciting moments of pleasure on winding roads with its driving characteristics.
